Mark’s Past Experience

Mark has overseen and been involved with numerous high-profile roofing projects over the course of his career, which include some of Georgia’s biggest commercial attractions. Standout examples include: the Georgia Dome, Turner Field, and more.

Personal Facts About Mark

Mark was born in Atlanta, GA. While he holds a soft spot for Georgia, he would like to revisit Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Telluride, Colorado – so long as it was during the summer. In his younger days, Mark was an avid skier for over 25 years, both on snow and on water.

It was on one of these skiing trips that he met his wife of over 30 years. Beyond her artistic talent, Mark also speaks very highly of his wife’s culinary expertise, claiming that she has mastered his favorite meal: beef burgundy with tomato soup and wild rice. It was the meal his father always cooked on Christmas, and Mark says his wife has perfected the craft.

Mark’s Interests

These days, Mark spends his spare time riding horses, reading, and spending time with family. He also enjoys working with his hands, whether it be restoring classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles, or collecting vintage artifacts with his wife and turning them into beautiful art and furniture for homes.

With such a creative background, it’s no surprise that, when asked if he could meet anyone in the world, alive or dead, Mark chose Leonardo da Vinci. Mark is fascinated by da Vinci’s designs, and says he would love to know what made him tick.

Mark is also a fan of iconic American thinkers. His favorite quotes are, “If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it,” by Mark Twain, and, “The tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” by Thomas Jefferson.

Mark’s Experience At Bone Dry

Mark first learned about Bone Dry through a mutual supplier, and after hearing great things about the team, contacted the owner and signed on.

One of the biggest challenges Mark faces is keeping up with the fast-paced world of new construction, where every job is fast-tracked and kept to a strict schedule. In spite of the challenging nature of the industry, he has yet to face a project he could not overcome, and has fostered a great reputation both with suppliers and the customers he represents.

In his own words, Mark views success as having the freedom and time to do the things that interest you. His biggest pet peeve is when people make excuses instead of taking ownership for their actions.

Mark’s proudest accomplishment while working at Bone Dry was roofing the Romark Logistics building, a 420,000 square foot job demanding a lot of work and running on a tight deadline. Mark was able to complete the project with no issues, giving Romark Logistics a sturdy roof over their heads for years to come.

To Mark, the best part of his job is the team he gets to work with, saying that everyone works together well and treat one another like family. Mark is an asset to the team and embodies the spirit of honesty and cooperation that defines Bone Dry Roofing Company.
